Bethany Children’s Home was founded by Gladys Raleigh Aylward, a British pastor, in 1959. For the past five decades, it has shouldered the responsibility of taking care of displaced children and youths in Muza areas. To date, it has helped more than one thousand children and youths. It is expected that this building will become a fortress for children and young people in Taiwan to bring welfare to more children, young people, and families in need and guide them onto the path of God’s love.
The building’s concrete goals for the future:
- Construct a family placement and care model with the husband and wife being the care givers
- Establish a psychological consultation center for children and young people
- Establish a social worker training center to help children and young people in Taiwan and China
- Start service stations and outreach services for disadvantageous children and young people in the community
- Energize the Children’s Home and share it with families in the community for optimized service efficacy
- Serve as a Christian center to children and young people
