Aletheia University Church
New construction project of Aletheia University Church (main structure architectural engineering)
Aletheia University Church was completed in November 9, 1997. To commemorate the school’s upgrade from Tamsui Junior College to Tamsui College and to Aletheia University today, the earliest “First Classroom” was demolished and rebuilt along the hillside. Because there are well-known monuments all around, the design style takes into account the new and old buildings. The design project won the Best Architect Design Award in 1997. The architectural style of the chapel also embodies the Christian doctrine by reserving the pointed arch, simulating the general Goethe-style church, and the receding buttresses. There are symmetrical minarets on the east and west sides, with an enduring charm of the traditional churches in Taiwan.
